• Marius Liebenberg praat oor die skep van bit-leers vir Mesakaarte.  Hierdie is baie nuttig in toekomstige projekte en gee die vryheid om nie gebonde te wees aan bit-leers wat saam met kaarte kom nie.  Dit sluit ook aan by ons volgende onderwerp – hoe om ‘n Masakaart doel aan te pas vir jou masjien.
• Ons wys die proses hoe om Pathpilot te bedryf met ‘n Mesa 7i76E kaart (5 stap/rigting asse + spilas).  ‘n Voorbeeld van hoe om motors vir die asse en spilas aan die werk te kry vir ‘n draaibank word bespreek en gedemonstreer (tuis-skakelaars en ‘n MPG word bygevoeg).  Pathpilot het ‘n groot voordeel vir draaibanke a.g.v. die kragtige doelgemaakte Gkode siklusse.  Jy kan wegdoen met CAM sagteware in meeste gevalle, en die Gkode direk uit Pathpilot skep.
• Ons gee terugvoer oor die klubprojekstatus: Mesofreesmasjien, Draadsnyer en Deckel-tipe-klamp.

SA-CNC AGENDA FOR THURSDAY 26 SEP 2019 – 19:00

• Marius Liebenberg will give us a talk on generating bit files for Mesa cards.  This will be very useful in the future and help us to avoid being limited to  bit files supplied with new cards.  This will also tie in with our next topic.  This is about customizing the Mesa card to fit your own machine.
• We will show the process of running Pathpilot with a Mesa 7i76E card (5 step/dir axes plus spindle).  The example of getting the axis motors and spindle to work for a lathe will be discussed and demonstrated as well as adding home switches and an MPG.  Pathpilot has a huge advantage for lathes in that it has very powerful Gcode cycles or wizards.  You can do away with a CAM package in most cases and let Pathpilot generate the Gcode.
• We will report on the status of the club projects: Meso-mill, Wire-cutter and Deckel-type-vice.
