SA-CNC AGENDA VIR DONDERDAG 25 JUL 2019 – 19:00

• Ons bespreek die berekening en kies van balskroewe vir CNC masjiene.  Die volgende berekeninge word bespreek: statiese en dinamiese gradering, voorbelading, kritiese spoed, verbuigingslas, styfheid en lewensduur.
• ‘n Nuwe voorgestelde klubprojek word bespreek: die Deckel tipe klamp vir freeswerk.  Verskillende groottes word voorgestel.  Daar is nou ‘n model gesekp in Fusion 360.  Hierdie model kan geskaal word om verskillende grootte gietvorms van te maak.  Gietstukke kan in Mehanite of SG gietyster gemaak word.
• Die ander twee klubprojekte word kortliks bespreek: Mesofreesmasjien en EDM Draadsnyer.

SA-CNC AGENDA FOR THURSDAY 25 JUL 2019 – 19:00

• Calculations for the selection of ballscrews for CNC machines will be discussed.  We will look at static and dynamic rating, preload, critical speed, buckling load, stiffness and lifetime calculations.
• We will start a discussion of a new proposed Club project, ie. a Deckel type milling vice in different sizes.  We now have a model created in Fusion 360, based on an example that we can show.  This can be scaled to selected sizes and we can make patterns and have castings made in Mehanite or SG cast iron.
• Reporting briefly on the progress with the other two Club projects,  ie. the Meso-mill and WEDM wire cutter.
